I wanted to let you know that I have put together a video that shows how to use ChordieApp to teach your students remotely while still showing your face and hands!
If you don't have a built-in webcam or DSLR...
...to show your hands, don't worry, you can still teach remotely easily.
Basically you'll use video chat software that lets you share your screen (e.g. Zoom, Skype or Google Hangouts) and you'll share your screen showing Chordie with your students.
If you do have that equipment...
...this video will show you a 'proof of technology' that you can follow to build a composite video out of 3 sources to send to your students. It's fairly technical, so keep that in mind. But hopefully, it will help you to keep teaching in this crazy time where we are all being asked to stay home.
You can also use this to stream live...
...to Youtube/FB Live/Twitch/etc..
Let me know if I can be of any help regarding setting up your teaching studios to teach music remotely.
I hope the video is helpful, regardless of the complexities involved.
OBS and CamTwist are free, too.
